PPAZ to spend 1million kwacha in training 250 safe motherhood personnels to carry out a 3years project



Planned Parenthood association of Zambia (PPAZ) plans to spend 1million kwacha to train 250health personnel’s in the country that will carry out a three years health project under the organization.

PPAZ executive director edfold mutuma says his organization and the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP) have been running a three years safe motherhood programme which came to an end last year.
Mr. mutuma says the three years project which PPAZ will embark on is a continuation from the previous programme whose aims was to provide safe mother hood to communities in various parts of the country.
He says PPAZ together with JOICFP will restart the project and will continue to construct three more safe motherhood maternity houses and train safe motherhood groups in Mpongwe, lufwanya and solwezi.
Mr. mutuma says PPAZ has however not concluded its action plan and is still to expand to other areas where safe motherhood services are needed in collaboration with the communities.
