Chingola District Local Authorities Including District Commissioner Allegedly Involved In Illegal Land Deals.



Chingola District Commissioner George Sichula And Some Ruling Patriotic Front Councillors Are Allegedly Involved In Illegal Land Deals As Revealed By Lulamba Ward Councillor Violet Mumba.

The Matter Was Reported To Chingola Central Police, Where The Report Was Received By The Deputy Officer Commanding Who Is Acting A Mr. Kikwama On 26th March, 2013 By Councilor Violet Mumba But The Police Are Allegedly Dragging Their Feet.
Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Stanford Msichili Visited Chingola Municipal Council On Thursday 28th March, 2013 And Got Briefed And Was Handed The Same Written Report.
Mr George Sichula Is Alleged To Have Built A Big House In The District In An Illegal Area After Becoming District Commissioner.
This Situation Forced The Chingola Pf Executive Committee To Hold A Meeting On The 15th March Which Was Chaired By Then Acting District Chairperson Mary Chibesa At House Number 55, 12th Street, Nchanga South.
And Mrs Chibesa Has Confrimed The Meeting
When Contacted For Confirmation On Her Report To The Police, Lulamba Ward Councillor, Violet Mumba Says She Reported The Matter Because She Wants The Law Enforcement To Move In And Take Its Course Over The Matter.
And Chingola Mayor Cuthbert Kalebaiba Has Confirmed Receiving The Letter From Mrs. Mumba And Is Aware Of What He Has Called As Rampant Illegal Land Allocation In The District.
When Contacted For A Comment, Chingola District Commissioner George Sichula Who Warned The Reporter That He Was Shooting Himself In The Foot By Following Up The Matter Adding That His Office Was Directly Under The President, Says There Is A Curtail Which Has Been Formed To Discredit Him Led By Pf District Chairperson John Mupeta.
Meanwhile Mr. Sichula Who Invited The Reporter To Chingola For More Information Over The Matter Says The President And All The Officials In The District Are Aware Of The Situation And Writing About It Is Simply Blowing Things Out Of Proportion.
