somali national nabbed for currpt practices involving Rk3,000

The Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested a Somali National for suspected corrupt practices involving KR3, 000.
According to acc public relations officer timothy moono, Hassan Ali Ahmed, a Truck driver for E.K. transport, a Ndola based Company, was arrested on Monday 31st December 2012 and charged with Corrupt Practices with Public Officer contrary to Section 19 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012.
Mr. moono says on 27th December 2012, Ahmed corruptly gave KR3, 000 to an RDA Weigh bridge Operator based at Solwezi Weigh Bridge as an inducement or reward for the said Weigh Bridge Operator to release two trucks registration numbers ACM 7396 and ACL 8678 which had been impounded and fined for being overweight. 
He says the drivers of the two trucks had been fined K19 million for overloading.
Mr. moono says Ahmed has since been released on bond and will appear in Court on 4th March 2013.
