Which Is An African Union (Au)-Formation Advocating For Africa To Have Two
Permanent Seats On The Un Security Council With Veto Powers And Extra Two
Non-Permanent Seats To Address The Historical Injustices That Africa Suffered
And To Adhere To The Geo-Political Realities Of The Modern Times.

And Namibia Are Two Countries That Represent The Southern African Development
Community (Sadc) Region On The C10.
Out
Of The 193 Members Of The Un, Africa Has 54 States, Making It The Continent
With The Highest Number Of Un Member States.
Currently
The Un Security Council Is Composed Of Five Permanent Members — China, France,
Russia, The United Kingdom And The United States Of America — And 10
Non-Permanent Members Of Which Only South Africa, Morocco And Togo Are From
Africa.
The
Non-Permanent Seats Are On A Two-Year Regional Rotation Basis.

The Leadership Award Among Other Issues Recognizes Zambia As The Democratic Tenet Of Africa Through The Holding Of Free And Fair Elections Over The Years, Good Governance Practices And Gender Equality.
The 2012 South-South Awards Ceremony Was Officially Launched At United Nations (Un) Headquarters Yesterday On The Un Day For The South-South Cooperation In Order To Recognize Various Distinguished Heads Of State.
And In His Acceptance Speech On Behalf Of The Zambian People For The Prestigious Ward In New York (Ny) In The United States Of America (Usa) Yesterday, President Michael Said Zambia Will Continue To Exhibit Resilience And Vigilance In Order To Ensure A Continuity Of Free And Fair Norms Of Electoral Governance And Democracy.
Mr. Sata Has Also Pledged To Continue With Reinvigorated Energy, To Consolidate The Good Governance Structures Aimed At Facilitating Equity Of Distribution Of Resources And Infrastructure For The Betterment Of All Zambians.
This Year, The 2012 South-South Awards Ceremony Has Been Celebrated With Heads Of States And Government, Un Ambassadors, Top Un Officials And Other Distinguished Guests From The Private Sector And Civil Society Organizations.
The Event Has Also Been Staged By The Un To Look Ahead To The Future Of Sustainable Tourism Initiatives That Are Successfully Helping To Advance The Millennium Development Goals.
Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Chairman Of The Group 77 And Helen Clark, Administrative Of Undp Provided Their Statements In Support Of This Un Day.
