MORE than 300 workers at lamasat international in Lusaka risk losing their job failure to returning to work by 14hours today as the strike enters day 2.

Lamasata international managing director who addressed the workers this morning told workers that they should return to work by 14hours as his management and some chosen members from their group discuss the way forward.
The lamasat managing director told the workers that the company could not negotiate or listen to their grievances outside the premises hence it is important that they return for work for continue discussion.

Meanwhile speaking in an interview with radio phoenix lamasat international human resources manager singtone benwa who is one of the people the workers wants to leave the company says there is need for dialogue overt the matter instead of the workers rushing to protesting.

Mr. benwa says it is disappointing that the workers who got their salaries increased just by Saturday last week have u-turned today and are demanding for more salary increase.
And a union representative Watson njowe who is the branch chairperson for national union of commercial and industrial workers says the union is trying everything possible to resolve the situation and workers should remain calm.

Meanwhile the workers are still insisting that their grievances are mate by management.
